Describe the garment before asking for a price
Name the product: custom T-shirt, polo shirt, hoodie, sweatshirt, Panjabi, kurta, jogger or another garment. Explain who will wear it and how it will be used. Attach a tech pack, reference image or sample information. A photograph helps communicate appearance, but measurements and construction notes are still needed to define the actual garment.
Specify fabric, GSM and size allocation
State your preferred fabric composition, knit structure, fabric weight, colour and finish, or explain where you need guidance. Provide a size chart with measurement units and a quantity for each size. Separate different designs and colourways in the brief. Two inquiries for the same total number of garments can require different material and production planning.
Include printing, embroidery and private-label details
Send artwork with its dimensions and placement on the garment. Identify whether you want printing, embroidery or a method recommendation. Include neck labels, care-label information, hangtags, folding and individual packing requirements. These details belong in the quotation scope so that a plain garment price is not compared with a fully branded and packed order.
Clarify samples, revisions and approval
Ask what the sample stage covers, which specifications need confirmation and how revisions will be reviewed. Request sample fees and timing separately from bulk production. Record the agreed fabric, fit, branding and packaging before authorizing the next stage. The sample approval and written specification should describe the same product.
Compare the complete commercial scope
Check the quoted currency, quantity basis, included work, exclusions, payment stages, packing and delivery responsibilities. Ask how changes to artwork, material, sizes or quantity affect the quotation. A lower unit price may cover a different scope; compare the actual specification and responsibilities before choosing an option.
Send the destination and required date
Include the delivery country or city, receiving requirements and target date. For an international inquiry, ask which shipping arrangements, documentation and destination costs can be reviewed and which remain the buyer's responsibility. Availability, price and timing are confirmed for the individual order; this guide is not a fixed-price or delivery offer.
